Good morning...

I just ordered the Ixil pot for my bike. It seems correct to me and I hope the quality will be there !
I don't think I'll have it painted because my bike is red but you never know. I have a question regarding the reprogramming of the ECU : can any reprogrammer with a Dynojet type power bench access it and, above all, can they access all the parameters ? I also have an Indian Challenger on which the ECU is impossible to modify correctly...

Hi
All I can tell you that if you put the Ixil system on the bike without the baffles and an uprated air filter the bike will feel a little lumpy on start up but clears once it runs for a few minutes. You can do your own ECU reset( switch ignition on. Dont touch the throttle. Allow 3 fan cycles. Time 12 to 15 mins. Switch off.) No where within the fitting instructions does it say that if the end user does this they need to get a retune or remap to dial this all out. I would go for a complete remap as opposed to dynojet.
Tune ECU do this and also I have heard great results from Woolich Tuning who have had good results with their software.
My warranty expires next month and I have my Rocket 3R Black booked in with a well known experienced tuner who uses the Woolich software local to me who reassures me the bike will be nothing like you've experienced before. So I have had a good look around and asked questions and all the seasoned bikers have recommended this genius of a tuner. Look around your area and do some research first, then make a decision what's best for you.

👍 for your answer !
I actually saw that Woolich offered MAPS like BT. Which is the best ? I don't know but I'll ask the programmers on my island if they work with one of these two options.

Ixil exhaust received yesterday and installed this morning. Nothing very complicated even if you have to force a little to have all the fixing holes aligned...The noise, without the db killers, is very acceptable (I expected much worse !) and started with a reset of the ECU (original air filter kept for the moment). Test scheduled for tomorrow...we'll see the results on the road !!!

Conclusive test even if I wonder if I'm not going to turn on the dB killers...the Ixil is impeccable at idle but as soon as you crank up the engine it gets really loud ! To see during the week !
Small clarification also: I don't know what the factory uses to make the silencers but... it seriously stinks!!! I hope this won't last because my garage looks like a skunk den.

Does anyone have a picture of the other side of the Rocket after the Ixil exhaust is installed? I noticed that Rockets with the Comp Werx installed have a large vacant area on the "port" side of the bike. Not a fan of that look.

Thanks!

Miles better finish with Ixil.
