After 3 long years the time has finally come to get my Roadster. In 3weeks when I am back home on leave I will buy my baby. I currently reside in PA but at the end of this summer I will be relocating to Orlando,FL. I work overseas so I have to maximize my time on the bike when I am home. I have been coming on this forum and read many links but waited to introduces myself until I knew I would get my Roadster. Making the decision to buy a Rocket was made easy after spending time on here, so I would like to thank you all for keeping a great and informative forum running that I surely believe help contributing to new buyers taking the step to getting one of these great machines.

Welcome aboard those next 3 weeks are going to be the longest 3 weeks you have had for some time I'd say

G'day and Welcome .. if you've been reading what goes on here and happy to join us .. says a lot .. you must be slightly deranged, thick skinned and a thrill seeking individual with a decent sense of humour .. good onya. Sure you'll get back to us after you get your Roadster .. you actually ridden a RIII yet ?

Not ridden one yet, dealers are not as forthcoming with test rides unlike BMW and HD dealers. I have ridden a wide variety of bikes over the years and always wanted more tourqe from the bottom and I believe the rocket solves that and then some. Seating position and controllers are spot on for me plus it looks awesome.

Mate.... Welcome to the most patient person I sort of know...
Wow.. You bought a R3R prior to riding one.... Now that's is faith and guts (Maybe a little desperation in there too).:sneaky:
As @TOMCAT said - Good onya.

You don't have to be deranged - I for one am not ;)- but it seems to make the others more comfortable if you're a bit whacko. Thick skin is a must, though. Welcome.

Welcome Valhalla. You have reckoned correctly. If it is torque you seek, it is torque you will certainly get. The Beast has plenty and to spare. The looks are not for every one; and something of an acquired taste. She does have a certain massive "presence" about her though.

Interesting that your dealers are reluctant on test rides. In our world, test rides are expected and delivered on demand, provided one has a valid license and proof of liability insurance.

You gonna like the Beast. Ride it safely.

We trudge on.
