The biggest production bike in the world is no more! Triumph Motorcycles UK have discontinued the Rocket 3 Roadster due to ever tightening emissions laws.
All is not lost however - we secured the final 2 to ever leave the factory at Hinckley which arrived with us just yesterday.
Have 2 lucky last of the breed owners - Graham Durman your new bike is here waiting for you!

OK I did a little research and Triumph Taunton -- a Triumph dealer in the UK -- posted this to its Facebook page on July 1:

I'd be very surprised if the Rocket was being wholly discontinued. Maybe the Rocket just can't be sold in the UK anymore until they figure out emissions problems.
Or maybe the 2.3L model is being discontinued to make way for a 2.5L model. :whitstling:

This is horrible. We are not all sweet yuppies wanting a toy bike with gadgets and toys to entertain us while riding a under-powered bike (new Bonneville's) Some of us like the shear balls it takes to ride the ROCKET. Alpental I hope like hell your right. This news is very upsetting to me. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:banghead:

On another thread I believe on this site, it was said that the R3 would be redesigned for 2018 and that the T-Bird would be dropped. This from a UK rep at a Triumph dealership somewhere. Anyone see this? Seems backwards.
