is this true? 2024 Rocket 3 RS coming with 200hp?

Litigation fears, plain & simple.
HUGE WHP difference from OEM in power & handling.

I’ll never get “unleash the beast” out of my head. All Triumph did to the Roadster, with much fanfare, to unleash the beast was to open up the secondary throttle plates, and not even to 100%. After five years. This is something a lot of us did off the bat, including removing the secondaries before the software came out.

Regarding 200 hp, completely derestricting the electronic throttle on the 2500 gets you 170 rwhp. I don’t see how they could get an extra 30 hp just from the tune. They’d have to mess with the engine.

I got 200 on my old little 2.3 Rocket III. Oh yes it is fun. On new big 2.5 Rocket 3/GT I bet it would be even more fun.

Surely they can get a more cost effective power upgrade for the 'new' model with just a new TuneECU map! ...... just sayin'
Triumph isnt going to do it as they have no direct competition to push them.
The Diavel isnt as similar as some people think and the VMax is no more.
Maybe they will do something after the Buell comes out, idk

Can you do it aftermarket?
Perhaps but not with a 7k or so redline.
You can change the pistons and increase compression and/or make the cam and heads more conducive to revs.
Either way it would be expensive.
Im thinking it would have to rev to around 10k with the stock pistons doing top end engine work.
Then the next question is how durable are the pistons, rings, wrist pins etc if youre going to rev it that high.
You can do it, im just saying you have to do internal engine work and its going to be expensive.
Plus you would have to re-invent the wheel as the parts would have to be custom made I believe as there aren't any "big bore" kits off the shelf.
They haven't found 40+ hp yet just by tuning.

Regarding the OP; I got nothin. I'd be surprised if they were offering a 200whp model. If they did, I would buy one instantly like our friend Claviger said.

What i DID find interesting was this video from a guy i follow on youtube. He purchased a 2021 2.5 and bren-tuned the thing and the video shows, from what I observed, quite a boost in performance via a complete derestriction as a result of the tune. The tune itself is from a company that I used on my sport bike. I was pleased to see it is offered for the new rockets. take a peek.

Did I hear a slight stumble right when he hit the throttle?
Def pulls harder through the gears.
