intro from southampton uk

posted a couple of threads and then remembered it is rude to do that before introducing yourself on theses forums......

my name is ivan, 42 from southampton uk, had a mixture of other bikes before being 're-born' when i bought my '09 classic in april of that year, 30 thousand miles and 26 months later it was time for the new roadster, transfered my custom paint job and all the shiny bits over (took 2 weekends) and this is my pride and joy as it stands today.

since i have owned a rocket i have been a member of a few forums, used to be the memebrship secretary of the rocket3 owners club gb (thats a whole other story)
have stayed friends with quite a few captains from there and you can find us very often bombing around southern england, wales and north yorkshire. 8-12 bikes strong
i do 10k to 15k a year all at weekends and trips abroad.
my local haunt is 'loomies' in alton and portsdown hill in portsmouth. (being from southampton i have just suck it up and say that it is a fantastic view from up there....... but their football (soccer) team suck).
look forward to contributing to this site aswell.

hi there fellow southerner, albeit a western southerner

in southampton there is 4 of us rocket owners that live within 3 miles of each other including my brother.
we are out most weekends (weather dependent, as long as its dry when we set off ) in and around the south, poole quay which i am sure you know about. we are all often in swanage aswell and tend to visit westward ho each year, 1st week in may, this year there were about 18 rockets that showed up.
will give you a heads up when we are in your area and if your free could meet for a cuppa. we all ride with our wives and are all rocket mad.
