intermittent starting issues

Hi, I bought a 2010 Rocket last year, quite a few mods. Anyhoo, it has developed an issue whereby it just refuses to start on occasion, just nothing. I have cleaned sidestand switch, checked clutch switch, even cleaned starter switches. Any suggestions? bike runs sweet when it's running, just this issue. I have also checked ignition (this has been moved to behind the engine). Any suggestions will be appreciated. Ta

Just for the beginning
When it doesn't start hold starter button in and release clutch very slow
If that doesn't work hold clutch in and push starter button very hard and try to wiggle it the little that it will wiggle.
If this doesn't work then give us all the info such as does the horn work
Does the lights go.out when you hit the button?
Does all the test lights light up when the ignition is turned and the needles make their sweep ?

Yup, everything works and is fine. Needles sweep, I press start button and nothing. No clicking, nada. Then will fire after a minute or so. Alternatively, will fire straight away, go for fuel stop, and nothing again. Probably something silly

Change the starter relay and check grounds. There is a relay fix that @Rocket Scientist has suggested

Check start button, had to polish mine with crocus cloth, 400 paper will also do fine.
