Installing RamAir filter ... Should I cut the BearClaw for better airflow ?

I really like the snorkel look and painted the gloss black with the red looks sweet.
I cut my bear claw opening and bought the 4040 K&N filters and they stuck out then I decided to just have a bigger cover to fit over my 4040’s

My new RamAir filter is scheduled to arrive Monday. Going to install right away and download one of the tunes in resources. I have the 3 pipe TORs, Triumph cat eliminator and a Dobeck Performance AFR Plus.

If I can get the time off from work going to join RAA West to do some dyno tunng at Nel's on Thursday.

Should I cut my BearClaw to allow for cooler/better airflow ?

Does anybody have a chrome BearClaw to sell cheap ?

It is time to clean and re-oil the RamAir filter. How do you clean/re-oil it PRPERLY ? Where do we get the RamAir filter oil ?

You can purchase it from their website. Bought their cleaning kit which consisted of cleaner and oil. Found the oil to be pain to apply. Now days i just use dish soap and rinse well. Let it dry out completely and spray with lubricate. It is dark out and spray lubricate is in the shed. Get you the name of the stuff tomorrow afternoon.

I use soap and water, Bill.
Then K&N spray.
So far (4 yrs) so good.

I use Dawn dish-soap. Works on cleaning up birds in oil slicks and does wonders on the Ramair.

Wife must prefer DAWN as well, tis what is under my kitchen counter, so tis what I use.
