I love the the bike but with the closest dealer 4 hours away I have not went and looked at them A. because I have not had time B. because I am afraid I will get one

They are a great looking modernized reproduction of the old Indians, but in the end, they are still a gussied up Harley with an air cooled V-Twin powerplant. As pretty as they are, I think if someone gave one to me, I would probably sell it and get something else.

The Chieftan model looks really sharp to me. They are a little too pricy though. As the original Indian motorcycle predates H-D, perhaps Harley's are only souped up knock-offs of Indians?

Well, We were at the Triumph dealer the other day, and the little woman took an instant liking to the new roadster with all of the black and the red stripes. She was pretty smitten by the Thunderbird with the Red haze paint job also, but in the end, the new Rocket won her over.

That would be the one I would swap the Indian for, gotta keep the little woman happy!!

Oh, no mistake, I would be grateful also if one were to be plopped into my lap. ;)

If you look at the Rocket from behind and slightly to the right it reminds me of the inline 4cyl Indian
