increase in low rpm clonking

could be a number of things clutch basket damper springs ,torsional damper spring weak,my bike similar age and model developed a rougness and clunking in the lower gears around 10000 miles it was the inner torsional damper bearing it had been fitted the wrong way around and wore out prematurely ,have your triumph tech remove the sump and check for schrapnel in the scavenge mesh screens ,it will at least give you an indication if said bearing is on its way out

Thanks for that. I will bring it to the dealer's attention. I have 3 months left on the warranty I got with the bike. I need to get this resolved. They had replaced the driveshaft late last year. The clunk seemed a bit better for a while, but now seems to be worse than ever. I put it up on the center stand yesterday and ran it through the gears. It sounded like rocks grinding the inside the driveshaft tube. (no real difference in any one gear)

i have done this, lifting it and running through gears, its sounds absolutely shocking..i think its because of the angle the shaft drops to,the joints dont like it and bang on the tube

Hmmmm ..... IMHO the Roadsters since 2012 do not actually 'like' keeping the revs up. I'm not saying they aren't more powerful than the earlier machines but my own 2012 and a 2014 one I rode both got very fussy and buzzy above 3200 rpm. I cannot remember that being the case on my 2009 model.
Mike

Never ridden a Roadster, so nothing to add. As far as balancing throttle bodies, very easy to do with TuneECU and you can get the numbers exact (unlike the triumph tool) and very smooth now I do it myself - you can clearly hear the difference at idle
