What I'm saying regarding estoppel is that if they agree to do the work and then do it, they have now implied warranty coverage since if they felt the work to be done may void the warranty, they could refuse or formally inform me that this could occur before the work was even started. Of course, I'll definitely be going over all the mods with the dealer to see what they say. I'm just going off what one of the salesmen told me...that Triumph would have a very hard time not paying for damage unless they could conclusively determine a ill-conceived/executed mod directly caused the damage. I know HD dealers do stage 1 & 2 mods that keep the warranty in tact so it's not a stretch to think Triumph won't do the same. In any case, I'll be cautious and keep looking into this issue with a brand new bike purchase before doing any mods. I certainly don't want to void the warranty in any way. That'd just be stupid on my part.
