hey all,

So as I stated im new to the site and new to owning an R3R. I have a 2013 that is pretty much stock other than shocks and a seat.

I have been reading about the different intake and different tunes and exhaust. My plan is to do all 3. I am most interested in the RAMAIR. I have read conflicting info about it on here and how foam pads are bad? i am not looking to go crazy just want to give it some extra power.

For tuners. There isn't a real easy thing to find about what tuner to use or how to use the tuner that you use through the computer...someone give me some advice because im new.

thanks

A modified tune alone can add some power. Many will add a TORs exhaust and tune for good results. Even better when the intake mod is added.

Answers to questions about your mechanical abilities and where you live would aid in getting better answers.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. I am also new and going through the same thing. For me, I bought the Ramair and will probably put TORS pipes on. I downloaded ECU and just started playing with it. Everyone here is great and give a lot of info. The search tool on this forum will be your best friend. Grab a beer and keep reading. As with all internet info take everything in stride.

I've been on several forums for vehicles I have previously owned. I have modded all of them with varying results. One thing I have learned is there are people who will swear that their mods are the best when in fact they might not be. Some people like to justify the money they spend.

thanks man, I live in Denver Colordo. I handle most of my maintenance and bolt on mods but when it comes to electrical seek professional advice. I will look into the Tune ECU and see if someone can hook me up with a good tune with the ramair that I will order later today.

Hey man thank you. I have been reading for 2 weeks haha. I am doing some training with work so I sit in the classroom and read away. Do you know where I can get a cable for the tune ecu to hook up to my computer?

I have a 2015 Rocket X that have been riding since Nov 2015. Completely stock. Became a member on here in sept 2015 i believe. Studied and asked a lot of questions before jumping off and modding the Rocket. At present after many of hours spent studying pro and cons of mods have a set of pipes coming from Paul and Ramair setting in the bedroom. Studied the program Tune ECU thoroughly. Lonelec is the cable you need. Some of the cheaper ones on Amazon will not work. A service manual is a must if you plan on doing anything to the bike. Here in Oklahoma the dealers are not very knowledgeable about the Rocket so maintenance is done by yours truly. There are a lot of members on here that are more than willing to help you out and give you straight info about the pro and cons of these mods done to their bikes. Most of the folks that have been on here for a while know what they are talking about. ;););););););););););)
