I Have a friend who is a die hard Harley type. He was really getting on my nerves with his **** about how great Harley's are and such. So one afternoon he came by and before we broke out the beers, I told him take it out for a spin around the block and handed him the keys to the Rocket. One week later he came by on a brand 2016 roadster and has never looked back.

Hello RideFree
you told "finished the R3T with a fairing with instrumentation and radio." I think that it is very easy to finish your
rocket as you want ! It's an avantage of the Rocket ( as well R3R than R3T) to be finished by the owner following his
own desire !
I go to every Rocket meeting of France , England and Germany. Except for Germany I never see 2 rockets alike !
But in Germany they are currently 80 to 110 bikes so it more probable to meet 2 same beasts .

I do plan to finish my R3T with an aftermarket fairing but it seems to be a project and expense that I can't quite ever get around to. Would be nice if it was already done when I bought the bike. Also, the aftermarket fairings don't have instrumentation and I would like to have that like the harleys do (including a tach).

Riding is believing...

Thanks Rick, Triumph made a good start for a touring bike but they fell a little short. I had to take over where they left off. The fairing and trunk are the only way to go if you take any trips. My friend did the paint. Had a hell of a time matching colors but turned out nice. Just got back to Ohio last night from Daytona. 2140 miles and no problems. I love this machine!
That is real nice looking, where did you get the trunk from! Interested!

but if you pay 2 millions for the toy ,the speeding ticket is no longer registering much on your bank account

Unless you do your speeding in places like Switzerland that have a graduated scale; fines are levied according to your ability to pay. You get X amount of "day fines". Each "day fine" is set depending on your income. The only sensible way to set any fines, really... make them hurt, regardless of what your wealth is, zero or millions.

There have been multiple guys enjoying their $100 grand speeding tickets in such places. In Switzerland, a rich Swede did 186 mph and got to enjoy paying about a $1 million ticket, which is the world record I believe. Ouch.

I was there Monday. Only seen a few Triumphs. 4 Rockets. Rode mine from Ohio, 920 miles.
This pic was taken across from the Daytona Triumph dealer.

Your bike looks great , what brand is that fairing and has it held up well for you without cracks or loose mounts?

So if you don't have a job you can go as fast as you want?
