I'm Dumbfounded

For the most part I have found that the older Harley riders (over 50) really think that the Rocket X is one sharp bike. The Under 50 crowd are entertaining. I love the question "Who Makes Truimph" just proof that know one knows how stupid you are until you open your mouth. I have seen only one rocket on the road in the last ten years in Oklahoma. Knowing that there are at least two others out there still gives you the idea of how popular the rocket is in Oklahoma. Nothing better than riding along the highway and have one of the Yuppie types on a Harley with fairing and hard bags pull up beside you and then drop one hand off the handles bars and then hit the gas. Owning A Harley myself and if I knew nothing about the rocket I would think twice before challenging one on the road. I can say that there are a lot of big bad Harley riders here in Henryetta that do not smile much when they see me coming down the road.
 
I agree 100%. A touring option with a Front fairing with audio and maybe navigation, a tour pack with a bigger back rest would convince me to buy a R3T. I just went out to Vegas and rented an Indian Chieftain with Audio and a electric adjustable windshield. I loved it. Ugly as hell but a far more comfortable ride than a Street Glide and the radio was great. I have seen several R3R and Ts set up with bags and fairings and some of them look great. A factory option would sell more Rockets in the USA I would think.
 
I went to New Hampshire for Bike week last year and I never saw another Rocket. And in July I rode in a big event for a fallen USMC Warrior, there was over one thousand bikes and I had the only Rocket. I like it. I feel special.
 
Seems they are the same across the globe, I had a Harley rider pull up next to me at the lights last week, "is that motor big enough" with a wry smile I said I think so. Next set of lights he goes real hard and I blow past him with ease. Next red light he say "I had to try, didn't think I'd win" he was a good guy and we had a laugh. he told me he had spent a truck load on the motor by a specialist Harley mechanic and thought he had a really fast cruiser, but I guess only against other Harley's? we cruised together for another few kilometres and waved each other goodbye when I turned off. At least he wasn't a smart a*se.... I'm sure many are. So far I haven't had any negative experiences with other riders, they are all curious and interested in what the Rocket is all about. And I must say Triumph is well known in Australia.
 
I have had a few fun moments with H-D guys and some Honda guys. When they finally catch up and ask WTF is that thing? That is the best part.
 
Triumph made a big showing in 2007 and 2008. They were set up over at the race track. A lot of changes in the past couple of years Daytona Bike Week is spread out near and far. Bruce Rossmeyer's has or had a Triumph dealer on site last time i was there.

YES we had two HARLEY riders piss on our bikes and in our helmets out side a bar and that was a big mistake as the bouncer told us and we know them and the Bike shop they work at SO after we went to the shop to get our hands on them they had taken off and never returned to their jobs so about two weeks later we spied their bikes parked at another bar so a couple of our group proceeded to remodel their Harleys and that was an expensive lesson and they paid dearly for their vandalism and they are still paying for it anytime we see them or the bikes the boys do something nasty to the *******s One of them died just a couple of weeks ago from a gunshot wound aparrantly payback from a biker gang they messed with
