Ideal tune for D&Ds & 3K&Ns

I just got the 3KN's done Thursday. I now have the 3KN's, O2 removed, secondaries removed and D&D's.
I put in the 20222 tune with Tuneboy, the first one I used was modified with the speedo correction and rev limit, top speed changed.
The bike ran great if you were hard on the throttle. Just cruising along, not so well. It seemed to just lose power. Say I am at 2000rpm, steady throttle hand, the bike would just kind of peter out, like not getting any fuel. Then, it would 'catch' and take off like a shot. This is happening between 1500-2800 rpm, give or take. It doesn't really seem to matter which gear I am in, seems more RPM related to me. It also will stall on occassion at idle when coming up on a stop.
Today, I went to the standard 20222 tune (from the link in the post above mine). The bike acted no different on the way to work. If anything, maybe a bit worse. Crack the throttle a bit more when it is doing this, and it takes off. Ride hard, it is fine.
I did try to grab the PCIII files mentioned above, but the .exe wouldn't run on either my laptop or desktop PC. Not that I am sure those would help.
Any ideas?

This sounds exactly like you have dislodged one of the vacuum hoses to the MAP sensor.

Pull of the air filters, and check all connections to the throttle body ports.

I got the newest tune loaded, then did a bit of hunting under the tank and did find a hose disconnected. Just took a real quick around the block ride and it was 1000% better. I will ride in to work shortly and see how it acts. Will follow up when I get there.

Ride in to work was great!! Problem seems solved.
Thanks a lot for all the help. What a great group.

The attached tune is 20222 with the trim from the PCIII map for D&D+triples loaded. When you download this tune, the PCIII trim will be applied.

Now that's a good tune. Even deeper exhaust note and popping is less. Power is great. Thanks dougl

Last question, when I go to change the speed limit I see 218 kph. If I click on it it turns green.....I have found holding cntrl and then Delete the 218 goes away and I can enter 250.

If I save it it goes back to 218.......

I thought about it and am wondering if I have to set the rev limit higher as well (thinking that 6300 RPM will not allow 250 kph and that's why it goes back).

Or I am missing something simple.......whats the trick?

I just click on the speed limit, it turns green, and then hit page up and the numbers increase.

Baffle removal tool:
You need a long threaded rod with a toggle on one end, like a spring wing toggle bolt toggle, and some type of "t" handle (steel plate) held on with a nut, on the other end. Slip the toggle end down through the baffle until it opens and then jerk pull the "mother" out. Mine came out relatively easy. You also might try try to pull it out by tightening down the nut that holds the "t" handle on, but because of the slant of the end of the pipes I don't know how well that would work or if would damage the ends.
Don't use too wimpy of a diameter of a threaded rod, mine was/is 3/16" or 1/4".
Some WD40 helps too. If you use WD40 (or similar) it will smoke a bunch initially but will burn out.
You may want to get a retune to reduce popping.

New dyno numbers with tune

I just had the bike dynoed and tuned. I loaded the later 20222TuneD&D that Pig9r had posted here last May and have been running her with no problems. She runs great and was getting about 33 to 36 MPG. So far all that has been done is the following,
D&D exhaust with baffles, three K&N's, secondary's removed, Iridium plugs, p225/55r16 Copper Zeon2 CT. I run 89 gas now. Was running 93.
The base tune was **** close. Started with 140 hp and 146 tq. and lean, 14.5 to 14.1 A/F. Finished with 141 hp and 150 tq and running right at 13.5 A/F.

Bruce a/k/a R3Tripper from the triumphrat.net site did the tuning for me. Bruce richen it up and was able to get 10 more tq at 2300 rpm and it stayed there till 6500 rpm. The motor runs smoother and sounds a little deeper. Time will tell about the MPG's. I'm debating about putting my spare tire and wheel on and have it dynoed again just to see how much is lost with the CT on.

Thanks Pig9r for ALL your input and help with the tune and tunes that are on the site.
