I said I would never do it, but...........

Maybe you should go back to the 150 so the front end is a wee bit higher. Then you won't grind thru your engine case
OR continue on with that diet and loose that 100 lbs of ugly fat and then youll have an even faster ROCKET that does everything better and ya wont be grinding through the engine cases I know I have to loose 8 lbs to get back to racing weight 175 lbs but I love munching on PHILY pretzels and eating ice cream every night

With the lift provided by the Exedra Max rear, I doubt the less than .5" drop of the 140 front changes the clearance too much.
BUT, I am trying to slow down some & smell the roses . . . perhaps.
My 144s and front springs have helped a lot and I have not dragged engine guard since.
The side stand bolt is grinding off and the pegs are now pretty much a chamfer with no peg pins left since that photo.

100 pounds!?!?!
FUVM for being a skinny turd!

I just took it to my local Goodyear shop. That's the benefit of living in a small town. Everyone knows everyone else. After all the reading on the subject I was expecting a 2 hour job and it literally took 2 minutes to mount that tire. Simple.

Here in Tulsa the dealer will install a CT for you, the Honda dealer also installed a Ct on Osacr's Goldwing, no hassle or preaching of any kind involved,

HEY and you should try some of the pledge I use to polish my head on that BIG belly of yours but you better buy a case of 24 youll need it LOL

The place I work will fit car tyres without preaching or resistance from the shop. Plenty of preaching and justification from the customers though, and quite a bit of laughing and head shaking in the tyre bay after they leave. If only you blokes knew.

Here in NJ in most shops that do tire work it is either outright refused due to liability concerns/fears or you will be asked to sign a waiver of liability. Think they're on to something?

Woooo Hooo...Did a 300 mile ride today through the twisties and cop free rural highways of Redneck SC... Art's EMax back with Mich 140/75 Commander II front was STELLAR! Was chasing a FJR1300 all day and the Rocket is just explosively fast and is easy to throw around at 40/40 psi.

The guy riding the FJR with me was stunned at the brute force acceleration.....Hit 125 ...smooth as silk!

Warp...no problem with clearance....came around a blind arcing curve doing 60 an ran over a flattened doe...No Problem. My only beef is the throttle requires a hellacious amount of force to keep it twisted all day so those stock grips/springs need a replacement option.

Still cannot believe how much this bike will haul arse with authority...by far the best bike I have ever owned....Great Bike and Great guys in the forum...thanks for all your advice. Just one of those perfect riding days that makes you really grateful to own a Rocket!

Cheers...Greg
