I quit my job yesterday

You did right mate, feck em!. Ive been asking my boss for the last few months to go part time,
3 or 4 nights a week instead of 5, but they are not interested in giving it to me and quite honestly
don't give a sh1t despite me being there 14 years and working nights for 12 of those years, so I
think in the next 2 years (once ive got my R3R and paid for it) im going to tell them to shove the
job where the sun doesn't shine and move on.
Well said Mick! I think you have just answered my question as to why you are in Preston Brook 5 nights a week. (Why are you in Preston Brook 5 nights a week?) - not a lot there

Im a truck driver, I do Leyland, Preston Brook, York, Burnley and then back to our yard
every night
I figured the truck driver bit, but that's a good old run to do every night. Leyland, Preston Brook, then Burnley seems ok but York & back on top of that seems a bit of a drag. Just tow the trailer with the a Rocket, much more fun.

I thought you blokes called um' lorry's ? ;)
We'll have no TRUCK with you Fred, even when you try & DUMP us with a LORRY load of ****, looks like the wheels have fallen off the WAGON. Now how can Idaho Red say that's dumbed down.

Truck - conveyance for bulk or heavy loads
Truck - having trouble with, irksome or irritating
Dump - to deposit a load haphazardly on the floor, usually from a DUMP Truck
Wagon - another word for TRUCK or LORRY

Now that's dumbing down.:):)

Rocket - two wheeled & motorised cycle with about the same pulling power as all the above
Now that is stating the obvious.

Good to see the things worked out.

Change is blazing these days. Even if one is working in a positive/supportive environment external factors could still impact careers in the next few years.

Tell me about it. I need a new job now. Went to interview today expecting $25 to $30 per hour. Got offered $13 to $15. Interview ended quickly after that.
