I just picked up a '08 Touring from a guy in Harlingen. Chrome is jacked, some bolts and other parts are rusted, but I'm excited to clean her up and use her a blank canvas for my own daily driver. I hope to both read and contribute to the discussions here.

As an introduction, I'm 25 with two kids and one on the way, I've been riding for 8 months and have owned an '05 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 and currently own a '20 Vulcan S. I'm a data center technician for Microsoft and a big techie in general.

I'm eager to pick y'alls brains for ideas.

Welcome, I picked up my 2014 roadster yesterday

The windshield clamps were rusted quite a bit, found an easy way to clean them. Use salt water and aluminum foil. It worked like magic.
