How would you rate the gearbox on 2.5L Rocket?

Because of the special and unique engine, it seems all reviews of Rocket 2.5L are centered and gravitated to solely discussing the engine's capabilities and performance.

People rarely talk about the gearbox.

May I ask what is your personal experience, and how do you think it stands in comparison to other similar bikes?

Nothing wrong with the gearbox at all in my view. Shifts are positive and accurate and no heavier than many bikes a third the size.

Compared to the M8 Harley I had before, the Triumph is silky. Not that there was anything wrong with the Harley either, but Harley boxes are famously clunky, especially when engaging 1st gear, which sounds like the points shifting on a railway track.

Occasionally when selecting neutral on the Rocket I go past it into 2nd. But the neutral light flashes and it's just my boots and the angle of the forward controls. Neutral isn't hard to find. It's a non-issue.
My bike has less than 5K on the clock. Typically most gearboxes get smoother above 5K but mine's fine already.

No complaints from me, but an observation, I sometimes get a N when changing up to 2nd. I'm putting it down to getting used to the quick shifter & a 'lazy' upshift with my foot. A good 'positive' upshift & it always goes through, just being a bit too gentle on it. Bike has done 9000Km.

No complaints here either. I think she shifts just fine and I"ve gotten much better with the hydraulic clutch for slow speed. I'm used to cable clutches on my Indians, which to me are more precise.

It's so good that you don't really benefit from the quick shifter on the road.
You gotta be taking the piss right? The quick shifter is fecken awesome. Before I'd tried it, (cos I've never used one before) I'd of thought ok, it's a nice to have, but not really that important. Now I'm pretty used to it, it's an amazing add on for this machine & having had one, I wouldn't go back to a non quick shifter version, they're that good. That's just me though, others will probably think differently.

Nope.
My gear change is so good I very rarely use my quick-shifter.
As such, I regard the quick-shifter as a luxury rather than a necessity.
