How to modify triple clamp to accept Harley bars or risers. I installed 1.5" T-bars.

The more you "normalize" the bike the more you get access to aftermarket parts. They're not really "Harley" parts, they're just made to fit the standards set in that world.

But the crappy aftermarket for Triumphs is a bit of annoyance to me also. Some stuff works for my Touring, some doesn't.
 
Blame Triumph R&D. 1/2 their engineering is straight carbon copy of Suzuki stuff, not that its bad, just when you build a 50% uzuki, 25% random off the shelf stuff, and 25% triumph developed it screws with established norms, making aftermarket stuff a dicey thing
 
Like that look, but what if you had Triumphs clock and gauge gauge would it be possible to mount it on top of the bars, so that you have all four gauges ?
 
SO whydo I need ZILLIONS of bars when I like the stock bars ? i know Im a kill joy and Im busting on you but Im serious I guess I dont like the look of this stuff BUT Ill keep in mind and if some one asks about these items I will tell them about your mods

You're just one guy who doesn't want to mod his bars/ergos.

That doesn't mean there aren't others out here who do want to do that, and the easier it is made and the more standard the parts are, the better it is for everyone including Triumph.

If you can't beat'em, join'em, that kind of thing. And Triumph will never even come close to matching Harley on sales volume in the states.

For us Touring riders especially who don't have to worry at all about the gauges (they're on the tank) machining up a whole new clamp would probably be the best approach to get to "v-twin standard". Plus, you could just set the original aside and have it available when selling the thing giving the new owner two good choices. I'm fairly happy with the Touring bars now with risers but it's an interesting reminder that we're really not limited to accepting existing bolt-on parts, you can always have stuff literally manufactured to spec if need be.

Sure as long as the mount fits whatever size bar you are using (1", 1.25" or 1.5"). I assume you mean on top of the T bar. The only thing you'd have to be concerned about is the gauges would have to look REALLY good on the back side as they'd be the tallest thing and easiest to see... so, you'd likely have to get something high-end like Baron custom (REALLY spendy).

THE last thing I want on my bike is a bunch of HARLEY crap and I dont give a **** about HARLEY sales I dont want a ****in HARLEY or any of their Chinese parts on my bike Im sick of looking at those turds every jackass in town has one if I liked them I would buy one but I havnt ridden one I liked
