How to Install Triple K&Ns Under BearClaw

I don't have the 'triples', but every K&N oil filter I've ever bought was pre-oiled. The filters them selves are fairly white, while the fluid is indeed red. The fluid saturation level you're looking at should be ideal ... worth noting for your first clean/recharge.
I'm surprised the smaller ones for the crankcase & sensor aren't, but it sure doesn't sound like it. The fluid won't actually dry ... part of what makes it such a good filter, the oil really grabs particles well. Here is an eHow link K&N recharging:

Yes they are pre-oiled. The cellophane they came in should say pre-oiled. I wouldn't worry about oiling the ones for the sensors.

Installed the triple's last night per Pig9r's instructions. Simple job even for my limited experience. Thanks for the excellent description.

I did not install the O2 eliminator but turned it off in TuneECU. I may go ahead and install it this evening.

Enjoyed the noisy crickets this morning and the smooth low speed response.

Been running K&Ns for 13,000 miles on my Rocket and 75,000 on my F150. No problems. Plus the millions of others who run them, just need to know how to oil them correctly.

My only complaint with K&N is that they don't send me enough STICKERS!

Pigger, I have used them all my life also, try the finger test.

Looks very nice ... I don't see your coolant overflow ... did you re-route/locate it ?

Jared, just used a hair spray bottle under the tank. Worked good. Rad. dont have to suck up hill. LOL

Or ya could mount it just above the filters.
