How to Drain Gas Tank?

Need to drain the tank as it needs' to be repainted due to a falling item in the garage.

I understand there's a check valve- so I assume siphon?

*I* use a siphon anytime I need to drain the tank, which is rare.

When I got mine painted, I ran mine down until it was almost empty by riding and then removed the tank, including removing the fuel pump. Then I emptied the rest into a gas can by turning the tank upside down.

2: Light match to check level

The way the tail end of the tank droops, I can't think of any other way other than siphon or pump it out.

The ShamWow is said to hold a bazillion times its own weight!
And... it's safer than using the match method.

Put the tank up on the proprod, which sends the fuel to the back (duh) and slip in a length of soft surgical hose to syphen through. You'll be able to get most, if not all of the fuel by directing the hose to the left side (kickstand side).

Easy as beering a drink ##:##:##
