So after picking up my 2025 GT Storm, one thing I wanted was mid pegs without moving the controls or having to spend $500 for the Triumph parts. I did watch the YouTube video where the guy bought the mid peg controls and then had to jump through hoops on modding various parts so they would fit. This post shows how you can have mid pegs and no Triumph parts need to be purchased.
What you will need to purchase is two pieces of 1/4" thick, 1" wide and 12" in length bar stock (aluminum or steel). As for pegs, you need to choose what you want in length and size. I opted for 2 bolt through dirt bike pegs I have from my supermoto supplies. I wanted a short enough peg that won't interfere with my foot placement, but also keep my feet planted. The dirt pegs have cuts to help boots stick so it met both needs.
So determine where you want your pegs to fit back from the front peg and this will determine the final length you will cut the bar. If you take a look at your front controls you will see that you have two bolts holding the front peg controls. Transfer the bolt location from the controls to your bar stock. Also on the right side control you will need to mark where your brake line comes down as well.
Drilling the holes for mounting requires a .390 size drill bit, the cutout for the brake line will take the same size hole. Taper the cutout fornthe brake line for clean a clean nonabrasive finish. The good thing is that the spacing for front pegs are the same on both side of the bike, hence you can transfer the drill pattern from one bar to the next. Drill the peg holes on the end of the bar.
So after drilling your holes, deburr them, mount the pegs and test fit to the bike. For a finish, I wanted to match the bike and used high temp black paint.
Biggest thing is take your time and make sure your holes are cleanly placed. Here are the results
