Of course you can claim your 'own' miles even if others have posted it before after purchasing your steed, after-all they are just 'borrowing' them.

Same as stock market shorting, they have to give them back later.

Not having a go at anyone, mine has 72,000km and I've only done 12,000 of them. I'm really just a Rocket Midshipman not a real Captain yet
