How far with 0 miles showing on the dash .

So my bike was showing 0 miles left , how many more miles do you think i got before it did run out !.Before any one asks a fellow trike rider had 2x 1 gallon containers in his boot if he had not then i would not had tried this .I did not go over 55 mph whilst waiting for the bike to conk out .

Assuming that you were riding on a fairly level stretch of road, and you were riding in an economically minded way.........guessing.......20 miles??

I've had 0 kms left showing a few times - got another 40+kms (25 miles) each time with at least 0.5 liter left in the tank.
Interestingly, if you do a hard launch from standstill with zero left, it'll make fuel and give you another 10-20 kms

I'm going to say 36miles....I rode 33 miles past my zero fuel alert and didn't run out, so.......
Bike never stumbled or ran rough....10k since.....2015X

Does anyone actually know this for sure? I am highly skeptical. My guess is no more than 5 to 10 miles but those miles are KILLING your fuel pump, a very expensive repair. Fuel pumps do NOT like it when they run air in any way.

Nashvegas was spot on 18 mls then it started to let me know i was out of fuel .My old Honda vtx1800 also had an internal fuel pump and it would go 30 mls after the fuel light came on. Honda did away with the internal fuel pump on later bikes and re located the fuel pump beside the frame as they are only small its all the other stuff thats needed when located inside a tank apart from it takes up valuable fuel space .Depending on how your ride the bike when it says 0 miles will depend on how far you get .jRemember its not diesel powered so running out of fuel should not cause any issues .

I’ve been a few miles past zero and had around a half gallon left. I don’t know if it would pick all the fuel and it certainly is hard on the pump. I prefer to never try that again.
