How far off is your speedometer

I also didn't like the idea of a higher odometer reading that could effect resale so I fitted a Speedo-Healer v4............... you can reprogram the offset, K's to mph converter and recall max top speed.

check it out at HealTech Electronics.

Can I use it to roll 80,000klms off my speedo get a decent trade-in on a new Roadster then .. hahaha.

Exedra Max fixes it, as noted.

Not sure even 10% is going to make all that much difference to resale. 22,000 v 20,000. Maybe once you get to 100,000 it might be nice to get that 10% back but is a 90,000km/mile bike really worth anything more than a 100,000km/mile bike? Somehow I doubt it. And I'm sure the odo difference is far less that 10% anyway.

By the way, I don't understand why correcting your speedo with a higher profile tyre means your odo will be out anyway. Does this mean the odo was correct all along? Why aren't they both equally wrong/corrected? Can someone explain please.

Yep..noticed mine if of a bit on the high side also....noticed first off it reading 70 MPH but traffic is pretty constant in these parts on xpressways @ low to mid 60's....ran thru a roadside radar and it was showing 6-8 % off.....this seems to pretty consistant with a lot of the bike builders kissing import regs asking that builders set speedo's to show higher levels than actual.....nice....even busting your nads prior to riding. I guess I can use this arguement when I get pulled for 125 in a 65 zone...LOL

It’s good to know that it is a normal thing because I was worried that something was going wrong with the electronic counter and since I am about to head out on a 4500 mile trip to Key West and back I wanted to make sure I wasn’t starting off with a problem.
Thanks for all the info

My speedometer reads 3mph faster than the gps..but I rather follow the speedo reading,I know then, no argument with the plod.

My speedo reads higher than my speed by about 7%.......its seems that once you cross the pond this is reversed or maybe not...need more info......looks like the USA bikes read higher than actual speed and Euro bike read lower than actual speed. Anyone else notice this or have I been drinking too much

correct the speedo?

yes, my 06 seems to be off as well, perhaps the 7% most of you are saying.
I now have a PC3 with Jadines and the PC3 recommended tune, runs great, to me, but I heard there is another that will fix the speedo?
thanks
