How do you waterproof your seat?

Ok. so barbagris mentioned lemon pledge. I remember reading about lemon pledge in another post a few months ago, so I did a search on here about it. It seems to fix everything. Seems to be a bit of an inside joke. But seriously. I don't wanna mess up my bike. Can it be used on the seat and other parts of my bike?

Lots of Lemon Pledge and th water rolls off. ;)

BUT if you can find some 3D upholstery mesh to make a seat cover - You can avoid sitting in any water.
Did this to mine and even in torrential rain my bum was dry in non-waterproof pants.

Can it be used on the seat and other parts of my bike?
It is the IMFASTTOO solution for all ills. Personally I refrain from using waxes - despite all claims to the contrary they attract dirt especially if it's warm and the wax melts. Water&soap (not detergent) and patience.

My bike painter told me waxes are completely unnecessary on modern paints, and a ***** to remove completely for repainting.

Of course you will never need to repaint...barring an accident....if you apply frequent waxings. My Intruder with 42000 miles has a certain patina but the original paint you can positively dive into because it is polished weekly with good old wax! It is also much easier to wash as dirt just slides right off!

What can I use on my seat to waterproof it? ....It's a 2010 Rocket roadster. Are the factory seats leather or vinyl?
The best product I have found over the years to use on seats is Protect All. It doesn't leave the seat slippery or shiny like other products and contains wax. Water will get in through the stitching under certain conditions, but that can't be helped....
