Yes under the fender to under the seat. Zip tide the wire to the fender .

I've tried a few drop in replacements from the auto parts store without any satisfaction; until that is, I found these, I'm very happy with them and they plug directly in without any modification

Ah, Custom Dynamics. Yeah, I looked at those just the other day and 600 lumens on the red sounds pretty intense. The stock bulb does about 400 when braking. How are they when just used as a tail light, do they get ridiculously bright or are they more restrained?

I'm actually in the process of mounting some Dynamic Clusters in my indicators now, to get tail/brake lights in them too except when they're indicating a turn, but I'm all for even more light than I already have.

I should replace the entire rear light with a LED unit but so far I haven't felt up to the task, so much easier to just slap a LED "bulb" in there.
