No front tire size doesn't affect speedometer.I have Commander ll's on my R3T presently have over 20000 mi. on front tire.picked up a Roadliner for aback up.

Good to know, I think mine was already screwed up. Seems to be a problem with the 1300's. I like the Commander ll's for longevity so I'll go with those when these wear out. Good choice on a second bike. After reading some of the possible problems with the R3's if I have to get rid of it down the road I'll go back to Yamaha or the Nomad, really like the feel of my wife's.
 
I had a 12' nomad for a couple of months nice bike but didn't have enough in first gear for me probably because I had a C109RT prior.

Haha, my wife has a C90 that she won't sell because she wants to keep the "smile" factor so I understand. She likes her Nomad but misses the get up and go of her other bike. Me....I just want to ride long distance and when I want the wow factor I swipe hers for awhile!
 
When you start riding the R3T you'll have your own wow factor and then put a good tune in and the smile will be permanent.

That's true, I had a small taste of that but was reluctant to push an unfamiliar bike on wet pavement. Looking forward to many years of riding it.
