I'm just imagining what would have happened, if I would have jumped on a Rocket when I was 18.
Let's say, I was not quite ready.
At my age, and after driving many different big bikes it is still a walk on a blade, each and every time. So, to me it feels like an advantage to be older, more relaxed and experienced when driving our beast.
If my bones hurt after a ride, I know I have survived it...

@ThingKing - I completly agree. I know myself, and had I started riding in my 20s, it would not have ended well! I started at 30 years 1 month old. The R3, is definitely fast enough to get even a weathered rider in trouble quickly if you arn't paying attention.
It's actually a boon that people are intimidated by the engine size, keeps the guys who have no business on them watching intsead of riding Rockets.

They have a few selections. Personally, I can't take them, they make me nervous and jumpy and I can't sleep, I'm actually an Ibuprophin guy.

This got me thinking . . . By the time I was 18 I had owned 6 motors. I bought my first NEW motor, a matchless/Norton G15 Scrambler. It was the hottest stock motor around in those days and I spent quite a bit of time frag racing all the hot cars of the day at the local burger hang out. Twas a cool feeling riding around knowing you could grease most everything on the street.
I specifically remember getting 17 no muffler citations in the first year. I claimed the motor was sold street legal without them to no avail with the judges. This old add would have been proof! Where was it back then when I needed it?

What a beautiful ride. These are cult bikes nowadays. I have a friend who would sell his left kidney to get one of these - but nobody would buy that kidney...
