Sorry for coming late but the sensor in the side of the airbox is for atmospheric pressure not affected by the mods, it is just here taking a reading to to allow for Altitude and is not affected by air flow, You can throw the filter and use the space for storage but if you don't want water getting in there cover the hole where the hose would have been going to the injectors (i used the clamp that held the rubber hose and used a piece of pushbike innertube to cver it) also the engine breather is a must if you don't want you belongings which you store in the airbox getting covered in oilfumes and getting oily:eek:

There is a member that put that sensor as well as the IAS up front where the horn is located. He said it makes a difference for the cool air to get to them. The altitude sensor being up front needs air rushing by in order for it to work correctly instead of sitting stagnate in the air box. There is no air circulating now because the air box isn't receiving a air signal from the engine sucking air in through the box. I don't know just stating what the man said.

Not saying you are wrong but thats the first time I have heard that about the Alitude Sensor as it is not reaaly in the air flow and altiude shouldn't be affected by air flowing just the Barrometric pressure at the time, I the conversations I have had with variuos tuning guys It has never been suggested that it need to be out in in the airflow and the air temp need to be next the Airfilters because this the air the bike is using not out the front of the bike JMTCW:)
