Installing KN tripples and found a sensor on the right hand side of the air box that I have no clue what to do with.. Anyone know what that is? Or what to do with it? I am going to leave in the airbox as I am not removing that yet but will my bike run ok??? I have big ride tomorrow that I like to be able to go on..

Air temp sensor, K & N makes a filter for it, Flipmeister on this site sells them. They are currently backordered, but he is sending me an extra crankcase breather filter, those will work, too.

Lots of great resources available on this site, just takes a bit of looking around. Did you read this thread before beginning?

As long as you leave your stock filter in place you can leave the sensor in the air box and it will be fine.

I have the K&N for the air temp sensor up by the throttle bodies. This is bolted right to the air box itself.. I dont' see that talked about in any of the K&N threads...

Are you talking about a sensor or a hose? If its a hose it's the crankcase breather which needs a small filter attached to the fitting at the other end of that hose. If its a sensor, and you've accounted for the IAT sensor, then you've got one more than I had.

Is there more than one IAT sensor? I have the one up under the tank taken care of. I am working on the crank case vent now.. But still have that sensor that is bolted to the top of the air box

I don't recall any sensor bolted to the top of the air box. Can you take a picture of it??

Sorry about the not best pic.. attached
