Hello Bob and welcome from VA. Don't worry about that windshiled, it makes life easier after those 10 hour rides at 85MPH plus... I should hit 30K miles this week on my 2014 R3T and I do take the wind screne off when I plan to stay less than 85...

Yea to screen or not to screen. I don't know what the bugs are like in the summer where you live but here they are awesome, and taste good too. I generally have an appreciation for a roadster, but I pretty much will keep the windscreen up, especially on my long distance jaunts.
