Hello to all Fellow R3 owners

Welcome from Spain.

You might want to sit down. The early R3 speedos are starting to prove they have a life span. The good news is that the older R3's can pretty much be retrofitted with anything. I started on a R&D initiative a while ago - It sort of stagnated. But some info here. An R+D Thread - Different instruments.

I see you are maybe a Devon-shire chap. If so, you might want to get in touch with @Nat67 - he lives just north of "The Moor".

Welcome from Cypress Texas, enjoy the ride. My speedo on my 2005 went out about three years ago and have come to the conclusion that is the motor inside the gauge, sometimes it works fine other times nothing. Just need to get a new one. Found the voltage going down to under 10 volts at times and it would not work. When the voltage is higher it would work. ( Reading was at the gauge wire to the motor )

Welcome Sean from sunny Okehampton . :) our paths have likely crossed ? I venture down to bmad quite regularly. A lot of R3s in Devon and the first thing I recommend to new owners is join this site , it will save you £££ , and on top of that , the best bunch of international captains you will ever meet !
