hi there .
took the swingarm off to get at the male end of the splined shaft & guess wot ......... the hardy spicer was on the way out !!!!
i've left the shaft at my local spare parts place cos ..... is this the ONLY rocket with circlip's holding the hardy spicer bearing in ??????
all of the 1's both myself (who i consider a computer ludite ) & Chris at the motor spares shop, could find were STAKED bearing's ie NONE replaceable , complete shaft jobby ££££££££££££269 approx , don't wanna buy 2nd hand !!!
anyway i'll ring back this afty to find the news from Newcastle - they've took the shaft up there & are on it !!
( apparently these are the guy's that make up drive shafts for custom cars etc !! )
anyroad we shall see !!!

good news the shaft is back from Newcastle,fixed- no charge !!!!!!!!!!
the guy said no new bearing he fixed the old 1 !!! i asked what he did & his reply ..... if i told ya soldier i'd have to kill yer !!!!
so thanked him & left !!!
back to the cleaning & polishing & putting it all back together now !!!!

I believe care should be taken when using pressure washers near the gaiters as ingress can be caused there.

Pressure Washing SHOULD be banned as heretical behaviour.
