Hello from Virginia...I went to Cleveland once....got gap jawed at the Arcade!.....stayed at the attached Hyatt....lap of luxury....and it was freaking cold as F*** outside!

I don't know which years had the same performance as the '85's prior to the Gen 2's, but the '85 was extremely fun. Very fast. Very fun. And very intimidating if you're not used to that type of acceleration (with that V-boost system).
I was literally scared of it at first. Didn't get on the throttle much for quite a while until I got used to it slowly.

I don't envy you one bit riding in that oven over there. I couldn't believe how hot these bikes get on a hot Ohio day, let alone a hot one in Arizona.
Heck, one day I slung a slab of ribs up my ****** like a big meaty maxi-pad... By the time I got home, dinner was ready!
