Hello from central Texas.

Hello @1goindiesel from a displaced Texan in Virginia. I'm glad to know another long haul rider, most in my neck of the woods put 1-2K miles on a bike each year and think they are really riding. I put 20K on my R3T the first year and am about to head out in the rain now to go to work. I just can't abide by not riding...

That's a great video I show it to any of my mates who doubt the power of a Rocket ,with a few minor changes to exhaust/intake and mapping the Touring can do all this in comfort as well, just a personal choice of style

I bought a Roadster expecting a discernible increase in power over my 06 R3 std. The 06 seemed much faster but in all fairness, the 06 had Nev cams and was tuned by Power Tripp.

G'day and welcome y'all.

Anything manufactured after 2008 should be fine as far as manufacture goes. Maintenance and the way it was ridden is, of course, another matter.

I have around 130k miles on mine, with all 48 states and a bunch of Canada as well. My longest day ride was Birmingham AL to Santa Fe, NM, but have had a number of 1,000 mile days without problems.

There are a few variations of the Rocket. Standard has pegs forward. Classic has floorboards and two-tone paint. Touring has one headlight and floorboards. Roadster has two exhaust pipes and two headlights, and footpegs further back.

Have fun on your search.
