That's bad news mate , We invested in a Honda 2.0Kw generator a few years ago for our caravanning trips to unpowered sites it has saved our freezer and fridge food several times and I still get to watch the footy and gibber on the internet I also have a Lincoln portable welding plant for the trucks and this will run the whole house off its 240v outlet but wakes the whole neighbourhood up

Yeah - I invested in a 6.5KVA NEW commercial silenced diesel Genset (Mine Spec) and the house is wired with a generator change over switch.
The Genset had 9 minutes runtime on the meter.
Every time I hit the changeover switch the RCDs on the Genset would trip.
OK - So I'll just have to run leads to appliances.
After 1 hour the Genset starts to "miss" and then cut out. Restarts OK but continues to randomly "miss" and cut out.
Checked all the usual things (levels, filters, hoses, connectors, connections etc etc etc) but the thing is roooted. Being digital no one wants to look at it right now.
Power is back on now though

The "little" Honda 20ie is a great bit of gear very quiet and reliable most of the Emergency services use them for lighting and other equipment ,a lot more expensive than the 2 stroke throw away generators that were all the rage at one time but worth every Dollar they are sine wave and you can safely hook your computer or other electronic equipment up to them its about as big as you would want to lug around, if I had a generator fixed into a vehicle or on a slide I would go bigger maybe a 3.5 or 4kva to handle the air con on our van easier

been better muff. ride sounds good but I dont think i will be on the bike by then . Just had a hernia op. they said i would have 3 or 4 holes in my gut ended up with 10 . So i'm taking easy for awhile
