Hellfire Tribute Patch

Art is endlessly redundant my dear sister. Never is art created in a vacuum. It is a reflection of its era and times: "in sito". To circumvent copyright violations one need only modify this art somewhat. It is done so often by tattooists it is really a matter of course. This fine design can be subtly changed and made an "original derivative" piece. It will be the thought behind the altered piece that will bind us all. The implicit message and memory.

I am so saddened by all of this. A gentleman, friend, source of information and somebody to chat with late at night and share our passion. Amazing how a guy on the other side of the world of whom I never actually met, can leave such a gap in the life of a stranger. Obviously a very special man.

Perhaps the only modification required is a RIP Hellfire. I for one will buy a patch and wear it with pride. Does anyone know of any philanthropic beliefs Kelly had? Perhaps we could make a donation to his cause in his memory or alternately match the cost of the patch and donate to a depression or sui**** (just cant type the word) help line or something. Don't know just feel like we have to do something in his name for a good purpose.

Perhaps another thing we should think about is, given we all share the same love and passion for a common interest, lets make a pact, should life ever get a stronghold on your feelings or emotions, for goodness sake, talk about it on the site, **** knows if hellfire had of mentioned how down he was to this point, I would have offered him to come and visit and go riding together. I consider most here and a few in particular to be brothers and sisters bound together by our passion for our beasts. :(

He had considered coming to Oz when the job prospects were just about exhausted in the States. We sent him links to jobsites in the mining industry. He was offered accomodation at just about all our homes. Wish the f#ck he would have made the move, perhaps a new start in a new country.. who knows. What i do know is he had a lot of support, genuine offers of assistance and the love and the respect of many. What i also know is when you are in that horrible , dark surreal headspace that leads to suicide ... well some of us survive and others don't.

Skip,

When you receive the final cost, which would you prefer? PayPay or mail?

Thanks for handling this.

Dan

It's been suggested, and I think it's a real good idea,
that IF anyone sends funds above the cost of getting these made,
WE donate it to an anti-suicide group.
Thoughts?
peace and ride safe everybody,
Love ya'll,
skip

Nice thought. Pact or not, maybe part of Hellfires legacy is that he has helped us understand and appreciate the person behind the name, the rider on top of the Rocket, and the lives we touch and share. I am sure we all would agree that our lives are better for our being a part of this brother hood.

Please put me down for a patch and I look forward to meeting you all at RAA 7

Righto guys, all you Aussies who want patches (and haven't already gone directly to Skip) flick me a PM or e-mail with your postal address. Cost will be $5 per patch plus 60c local postage. No need for any extra for postage from US as the extra $1 per patch should more than cover the bulk postage with any extra going to the charity of Skip's choosing. I'll send you back my a/c details and you can trasfer the $ whenever.

Skip, I'll go through this thread and work out a number for you send me and let you know who they're for - to avoid double ups - and send you payment @$5 per patch via PayPal (as a 'gift'). You let me know if there's any extra needed. Any surplus goes to charity.

Sound like a plan?
