Ok my Metz is nearly shagged again **** it I think I may have to swallow my pride and try a darkside tire. But in reallity we shouldn't have to I think it's time we got a petition going to get Bridgstone or someone to develop a MT for our beasts what do u guys think ?

Yo HellFire, I'm sure you stated it somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look.
How do you balance your tires? What do you think of the dyna beads?

I once saw a picture of a hybrid tire that looked like exactly what we need. Don't remember where or what it was, just remember what it looked like and that it was the wrong size.

It was rounded like a bike tire, but had car-style tread that was flatter down the middle. It looked perfect for our needs.

I posted a pic of that a while back but it was a narrower size. It didn't have as much of flat patch down the middle so didn't look as impressive, but I reckon that would be a great option if in our size.

I think the one I saw was a photoshop creation by someone making a wish, but that one is pretty close. At least it has more rubber than a Trojan condom running down the center.
I do like the idea of a Michelin 240 with one of their rain tire car tread patterns in the middle with rounded shoulders. That would be an excellent tire for the R3.

But, as it stands now ... I'm amazed at how well this bike takes to the Darkside. I still get a shiver when I see the BFG from the rear and think of how well it grips, inexpensive and long lasting it is compared to what came factory. Did they really expect us to keep shelling out $350 to go 5,000 miles?? Ridiculous. I didn't go through two sets of tires a season when I was racing the MINI, why should I be expected to buy two sets for my cruiser bike?
