Heat discoloration on exhaust

Hi all,

Just got a new to me 2022 Rocket Gt. Very cool ride. Still pretty new to heavy bikes so I am taking it easy getting used to it. After riding around suburban neighborhood at 20-40 with frequent stops I noticed discoloration from heat on the exhaust headers. Is this something to be expected or my bike is overheating?

I do not see anything wrong here. Not sure what your talking about? Maybe you mean the straw colour of the headers from the silver they were new? Yea that's supposed to look like that.

Sorry I should have been a bit more clear. There is a circle between header pipes. It's blueing from heat which started after I bough it. It's rather strange. There is a circle between each header pipe which wasn't there until I gave it a spin today which wasn't even that spirited.

Every one of these new Rockets get that heat circle, so is normal.

The manual says to wipe it down after every ride.

Tried to wipe it. The circle is not flat. I can feel a slightly warped metal there with my nail.
Thanks for clarifying that all of them get it. Was a bit worried that previous owner did something with the bike. It only had 2k miles when I bought it, but who knows
Ill keep on getting used to the beast. Quite a different experience from what I'm used to

It looks like a spot weld mark to me. I have the same mark between the back two headers.

This has been discussed before and it is common and no harm arises from the heat spot.

Do you mean this? The dark spots like putting?
That's iron or some metal probably iron ( steel) that was on an abrasive pad that got burnished into the stainless. I have enough welding skills and knowledge to understand this issue and triumph is not known for their high quality control.
The only way to get this fixes is to take it off the heat shield and the manifold, use some solvent to remove the contaminants. Stainless is not reactive to many acids so pick your poison. Then buff the stainless clean.
Or just live with it and any time someone says anything about it just ask them to look closer then drive there head into the hot exhaust and exclaim " do you see it now"

I meant this spot. It showed up recently after some fairly chill rides.
