Well, I'm off on a trip to Kentucky to meet a few of my New Friends... Hopefully dodging the rain on the way down!
Fred, I wish I could pack the new Clearview Gt-23 w/vent I received yesterday, but it's just me and my Rocket going South?

My similar story:
Heading out on a long trip once, rode to the station to get my paycheck, had a minor crash from dodging a half dozen empty 55 gal oil drums that fell from a flat bed in front of me while on the freeway. Forgot to let off the front brake and the bike fell over at the end of a long skid while I just stepped off.
The brand new windshield cracked and split right down the middle. I drilled a series of 1/8 holes and used bailing wire to stitch it up.
Gave it a kewl Frankenstein look and surprisingly held up for the whole two week ride!
