I was told, and have read, that the bear claws are different between Tourings and Roadsters. I got the part number today, and confirmed it with a Triumph dealer, ( for the Touring bear claw ). I just want to thank "albertaduke" for offering to help me out. Wish I could've taken advantage of his kind offer. I'm still interested in getting one, and am willing to pay for it. Thanks.
I made a plaster casting of mine, then layered in fiberglass and resin. Cleaned up the edges with sandpaper and a Dremel tool. Fashioned attachment brackets from light sheet metal and used epoxy to secure them to my new custom claw. A shot of gloss black paint from a spray can, and voilà a custom black bearclaw.

I'm layed up, otherwise, I would roll it out into the sunshine for better pics...it is scratched and banged up like the rest of the bike. Many hard miles.

Nicely done but now just a bearPAW, no claws, must of been a 'nail-biter'
I wish the previous owner had done that to my '10 Roadster's but they painted mine black like a few other bits to 'update it' and when I have removed chipped and flaking paint on other originally chromed bits they have been 'scoured' with a brillo pad or similar.

Thanks so much, Idaho Red Rocket 3. I'll look into it further. Thing is, I want to "pack" the air in, but if it's raining, I don't want a ready made water funnel.

Have you considered knocking off that easily scratched paint & then covering it with the new "wrap" style graphics vinyl that is out now? you could even do a slight color contrast like a dark metallic grey or something to make it a little different
