JDuke I have somthing like those the only problem I had with them is they would cause the brake light to come on and of again when at hwy speeds from the wind against them. The only reason I know this is I stoped at a gas station one time and someone who had been behind me told me that my brake light kept coming on. So from that point I would ride with my fingers stretched out. I'd like to get the hard plastic ones, just not sure how to mount them with the Kuryakyn grips since on the throtle side the end of the grip moves unlike the stock grips. A friend of mine has the ones from the Tiger mounted and they work well with stock grips since they mount on the bars ends as well as on the front of the bars.

I think I'd rather put up with cold than the look!

Admitedly I don't have top deal with extreme cold but it does go sub zero here (ie mid 20s) for several weeks in winter. Some years ago I picked up a pair of black leather mittens from a deceased estate in the UK via e-bay. Gauntlet style cover most of the forearm and lined with sheep skin. Hand stays perfectly warm regardless of how cold it is - just the thumb gets a bit cold. No gloves I've tried come close. Just got to get used to moving all four fingers at once and the only time they don't look like ordinary gloves is when you go to offer non-verbal advice to cars that cut you off (looks more like you're waving at them).

I hear alot of complaints about the triumph heated grips, but I love those things! On cold days (early AM lately) I use the heavy gloves and grips on high. The heat penetrates the gloves and my fingers are toasty warm. Just wish I had a heated seat for my nutz. lol
I am in the market for an old used set of wing deflectors, I just want the mounts so I can have a set of plexiglass cut without the turn signal holes. That would look pretty silly with holes and no turn signals to fill them.

I'm looking to pick up some Barkbusters Storms to complement my heated gloves, single point handlebar mount, look like they would go on and off easy for the change of seasons.

I know this is an old post but I fitted these today to my R3 - absolutely brilliant. Simple to fit and look good as well. Photo on my member page.

they look good, I bought the National Cycle tinted plexiglass ones last year. I couldn't make them fit the Rocket coz the bracket for the mirror stem wouldn't work. I fitted them to my Shadow Ace in about 5 mins and they work very effectively.

Acerbis hand guards

With the Acerbis ones, you remove the 5mm bolt that holds the Triumph bar end weights. The Acerbis kit comes with a number of adapters and spacers. The fixture inside the handle bar is non removable but you can use the original Triumph bolt. I used one of the spacers but wrapped it in black electrical tape so it doesn't show through the gap (better to paint it black) and it all bolted straight on.

Rode for 60 miles with summer gloves and had no chill effect at all so I'm well pleased. Can be removed in seconds in the summer but I like the look anyway!
