Hahaha - I bought a Carpenter bike

Wow busy group, thanks for All the welcomes. Updated the profile a little more. I also joined the Facebook pages for a little info here and there. So far this seems like the strongest resource. So let's get on with a few questions. I know I want a fly screen or possibly the aftermarket one I see a few of you are running, and also some kind of backrest because the wife has a hard time holding on .

Also thinking of a stripe, I like the red stripe a few of you are rocking but I'm thinking a green to be a little different.

*Not for sale*
I'll never have the opportunity to own a bike like this for what I got it for and don't plan to sell.
That being said what would the estimated value of the bike be? Almost 7k miles on it now.

G'day again Jay ,I may be preaching to the converted but, enjoy your Rocket for what it is a performance enhanced what is already a powerful bike ,the heart ache begins when you contemplate selling it either by trade in at the dealers or via private sale ,the Stealers sorry dealers will tell you 'nobody wants a modified bike as the modifications infer a well thrashed bike that some hoon has given it a jolly good rodgering (not always the case) private sales are a PITA ,every know all wannabee will turn up sometimes with his "expert" mate ,
as for the price or value like everything its only worth what somebody will pay you for it,
meanwhile enjoy what sounds like a beast of a machine:thumbsup:

Recently picked up a 2012 with a 265hp Carpenter kit........I've had it a few weeks and have already embarrassed a Hayabusa and a zx-14. What's left in life?
Welcome - Look for another Carpenter Rocket to embarrass. If @warp9.9 challenges - bow out gracefully.

Recently picked up a 2012 with a 265hp Carpenter kit. What a blast! I'm also the service manager at a Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, KTM, Polaris, and Sea-Doo dealership. Ill try not to ask to many questions but this is my first triumph so I'm learning. It's an absolute animal. I've had it a few weeks and have already embarrassed a Hayabusa and a zx-14. What's left in life?
welcome to the RAT race !!!

Welcome Jay, from Maine, wow, started out big!! All the more power to ya!!

Well said. Exactly why I don't view my bikes as assets to be bought and sold, I enter bike relationships like a marriage "I'm gonna take care of her regardless, but she better not **** me over" :)

Where abouts in Maine Hoopla? I grew up in Belgrade.

As for valuing the bike it was purely an inquiry, just wondering the market. I don't plan to sell, I will never have the opportunity to own something like this for what I paid for it. I'm honestly embarrassed! Haha

A belated WELCOME to ya, from WA State
To be differnt, I went with yellow stripes.
