I modified the seat on the 3R today, having done this previously to a solo Corbin on the Roadster to lower it. In my opinion the seat on the R is too cush (not good for distance). It also cuts into the back of my legs and is too tall (hey, I'm vertically challenged). It's pretty simply to...
Quite a big difference between the GT and R seats. I'm finding the GT seat a lot more comfortable than the smaller R seat. Works fine with the R handlebars and footpegs too.
I have the passenger comfort seat on my R seat (looks like the passenger seat on the GT). I doubt they have specific comfort seats for each model but cannot confirm myself.

Hey everyone, I’m 6'4" and currently ride an R with the stock seat. As dicussed here, I find the R seat a bit small and short for my size. Also, the pillion seat, which slightly overlaps the rider’s seat, tends to press into my lower back on longer rides, which gets uncomfortable. It’s also quite firm.
I’d love to hear from any taller riders (6'2"+) who have switched to the GT seat on their R. How does it feel in terms of comfort and riding position? Does the slightly lower seating position and extra room (GT seat moves you about 1 inch back and 1 inch lower) make a noticeable difference on longer rides? Keeping OEM handlebars and pegs.
The GT seat will likely be flatter. Won’t that cause the body to slide backward under acceleration?
I'll still have to try swapping it myself, but a few opinions always help
