2021 Rocket 3 R
Hi my name is Martin and I live in the UK

I've had over 13 Triumphs over the years going back to the original Speed Triple. I've owned other brands but I just really like Triumphs for some reason.

I currently have a 2014 Rocket III Roadster, a 2021 Speed Triple and a 1996 Daytona 1200 converted into a Speed Quattro

The Rocket III will be going soon to make way for a Rocket 3 R

It's a bike I've always wanted and as I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer last year I thought 'Sod It - I'm having One"

It's also a motivational thing to keep me fighting the cancer.

I will be picking peoples brains about a few things if that's OK

Regards
Martin

Hello Martin. It's a warm welcome from me.

It's clear....You certainly like your Triumphs........It's clear to me that you certainly deserve a new Rocket 3R to top it all off !

Regarding the big 'C'..........have you seen Brian Kinsella's YouTube channel?
If not, then please do click on the link below and take a look....

He went that way

Thanks. I had a quick look but there's a lot there on his channel. It'll give something to watch at 3am when I cant sleep ;-)

This is the video I was particularly thinking of......

I don't wish to force the subject.....only suggested it through good intentions, so forgive me if i've overstepped the mark.

To everyone else on here......I actually think everyone should see that video. It focussed my mind and I learned something.

No problem. I know I have cancer and it's made me not give a crap ;-)
I will have a look later. I was at work earlier so I can't be looking at YourTube videos

WELCOME from Colorado. Have you considered putting a carpenter kit into your rocket III? for 1/3 the cost of the R3 you can have over twice the power!!!! IMO the better looking motorcycle is the 1st gen rocket III. Sorry to hear about your health. the new rocket is by far the coolest motorcycle made and i want one as well. you should do what you want for sure but i was not sure if you have heard of carpenter racing before.

I'd not heard of the Carpenter kit, but you probably have the same problem with 'shiny bike syndrome'. Once you have been bitten you just have to have it
The original Rocket III is an awesome looking bike, I wouldn't have bought one if I didn't think so and I can keep up with the race bike riders around where I live through the twisty lanes. It freaks them out when they are going for it on a sports bike and they look in their mirror and see me on what to them looks like a cruiser ;-)

I watched this morning in the early hours.
Very interesting and I agreed with a lot of his thoughts.
Living in the moment is what I am doing at the moment as I do'nt know how long I have left. Another reason I bought the new Rocket 3. I want to be able to ride it in case I cant in 12 months
