GREAT New Tire Report

I have done so five times (3 north and 2 south) in the past two years.
All were in Sep, Oct & Nov with no rain and I may just be doing it again next month on my round about ride to Glendale.
The app, Dark Sky is my friend.

Thanks for sharing Dark Sky. Have just purchased and it looks like a winner!

Looks like you are hooked on the ride, lol. I have literally done it hundreds of times in everything from the Rocket to a motorhome, to towing a horse trailer. Never have I not enjoyed the trip even when I got wet.

Tis in my personal top five to be sure!
My first two were on my own during a ride to Texas and back. The others were me taking other ride buddies to enjoy the experience.
How can a rider not love 90 miles of conubial motor bliss?!

I have, but honestly have not yet been caught in a serious rain with puddled roadways.
Perhaps I shall on this next months ride to AZ?
whereabout you will be camping next month in AZ I am leaving Kaleden jan 01 on my way to yuma be there from 07 till end of dental work, approx, a week then free to roam . got the bike in the trailer already.

Exciting news, Patrick (a possible meet, not the dental work)!
I leave home on Jan 12th for Jim's @RKTNMYPKT in Antioch, CA.
Will park my trailer & Jeep there and head out on either the 13th or 14th.
I'm free to roam until the 17th, when I need to get into Glendale, AZ for the night as my school starts early on the 18th.

@1olbull - Still happy with the Michelin Road 5 ?

My tyres are getting to that stage where I will feel happier if I replace them. i.e. Legal, but only just and it's cooler & damp out.

E-Max rear naturally.

It's going to be a ruddy expensive month

I just had a Michelin Commander II fitted to my front today (140/75R17). The Metzeler ME880 Marathon that was on it was getting low and never really inspired much confidence.

It's hard to compare an old tyre to a new one but so far the Michelin feels great. Very linear turn in. Tracks well whereas the Marathon pushed through corners more. Lighter steering too but that's probably just because it's new.

We'll see what kind of mileage I get out of it but it can't be worse than the 5,000kms (3.000miles) I use to get out of tyres on my old Blackbird.

Good morning people, Has anyone tried the Michelin Road 5 reversed on the touring? I've been using Bridgestone Exedra and would just like to know if
the Michelin will out last the Exedra.
