On original used 8300 mi Metz I felt the tire like flex or a wavy feeling when connering. New tire smoothly transforms in to connering. Feels same as riding straight. May be like what you experanced.

When I burn the Metz off will diffently look into a change.

I'm still running Metzler ME880 front and back .. was right behind Richard through the twisties in Tassie ( and that was with the throttle lock on ..hahaha) not sure where Malcy was .. somewhere behind us anyway just saying Metzlers aren't all that bad a tyre .. although I will be trying the Bridgestone /Avon combination next time around.

I've just put on the Bridgestone and feel that it is better than the Metz, will be going to the Avon on the front shortly

I did 15000 klms on this avon cobra which I replaced with a exedra max recently.Its pretty worn in the middle from doing long distance runs on straight highways in the north.
Its got bit of camber wear but not as bad as some of the other tyres. I think I ran 42 psi the whole time I had it.It never lost any air in over a year.
I believe the avons are a good runner up to the exedra max.I got about 17000klms from the last exedra and I like the higher profile.
I got a bridgestone up front as well,got 25000klms out of the last one

Just my 2 cents i went with the Bridgestone XDRA-MAX 240/55ZR16 in the rear and i'm real happy with it. I'm not a big fan of Avons most Wingers and M109 owners i talked with like the Dunlop ELITE 3... i tried it on the front so far so good. I had no problems with the Metz just that it's longevity isn't that great but handling was pretty good. I've used Dunlops on my Harleys for years with high mileage wear, they're a little noisey in the turns but i can live with that. My concern was the weight of the bike and the tire pattern handling in the rain,but these days i don't ride in the rain if i can help it.
