Living Legend
To break it down for you guys --- the red right hand is a symbol associated with protestant loyalist groups(also on the N Ireland Flag) some good some bad, the 12th of July 1690 was a battle(Battle of the Boyne) between William of Orange (dutch)and and the deposed King James II of England, the battle was won by William of orange and aided in ensuring the continued protestant ascendancy in Ireland.
Now growing up in Scotland we did not have any racial hatred mainly because at that time we did not have many coloured people in fact my High School had a student body of 2000 and everyone was white, also the schools were segregated into two groups Catholic and Protestant now you would get Catholics going to a protestant school but I never heard of any prodys going to a Catholic school.
Now the red hand --- in Glasgow Scotland the city is deeply divided along religous lines and for the red hand to pop up would cause a riot like none ever seen as the Catholics would have a heart attack and the prodys would be dancing.
