Good day turned to poo

Team Moto Springwood hooked me up , got plugs, gasket and bolt gasket/washers couried out for $200 , bust out the tools on Sat :) I'll be buying a good tension wrench as well so anyone got any tips for checking steering bearing tension ?
sorry tech checked the right side which was warped
My guess is when the bolts get tightened it should be done alternately to minimise warping , same as putting a head on a car engine

this info is just a word to the wise and not carved in stone so other opinions are well come
when engines run they have blow by compression and usually have a pvc and a hose going to the air cleaner system. if this system gets plugged up then that creates pressure in the engine and will sometimes blow gaskets or seals.
i looked in my manual and all i think i see is a little hose going from valve cover to the air cleaner. that hose might be plugged or when changing air filter systems it might be crimped.
when we do gaskets we use like a 600 grit honing stone to take off the shining surface and put slight scratches on the surface to better hold the gasket.

I'd chalk this up to a bad day on the Hinckley assembly line the day your baby passed through it, Wrecka!

Any joy with the workshop manual .. anyone been able to get you one Wrecka.
Mate i sorta put spending towards that on hold due to the Cam cover gasket popping on the bike , will be a couple more weeks before i can get spare funds for it

Bloody typical - after posting on this because it happened to my Roadster 10 months ago I noticed on the weekend that mine has blown again in exactly the same place

Off to the dealer again (before the warranty runs out in May!) The only good thing coming from this is my wife has suggested I should buy a new one to make sure we have a bike still under warranty

If the bike is still warranteed Keep your hands clean and let them take care of it. Much less of a hassle and future hassles if they take care of it . That's if the dealer is somewhat close to you of course.
